1. What is covered in the package? Our package covers your entire stay from Friday evening to Sunday noon (or if you choose Tuesday to Thursday package). This includes:

2. What is the maximum and minimum group size? We cater exclusively to small adult groups, with a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 8 people. This ensures a personalized experience on the ice and in the cottage.

3. Where are the cottages located? Our accommodations are located in the beautiful cottage country near Bancroft, ON, offering easy access to the stunning three-lake chain, including South Baptiste Lake, which is known for excellent winter fishing.

4. I have never been ice-fishing. Is this trip suitable for a beginner? Absolutely! This getaway is designed to be beginner-friendly. Our professional local guides provide all the instruction you need, from setting up the equipment to drilling the holes and baiting the line. You just need to show up ready to learn and have fun!

5. What kind of fish will we be catching? The waters near Bancroft, including the Baptiste Lake chain, are home to species such as Lake Trout, Walleye (Pickerel), Northern Pike, and Perch. Your guide will target the best-biting species of the day.

6. Do I need to buy a fishing license or bring my own gear? You are responsible for purchasing your own Ontario Fishing Licence prior to the trip. We provide all the necessary fishing gear, including rods, bait, tackle, and a heated shelter, so you don't have to bring anything except your license!

7. Will we be warm while we are out on the ice? Yes! We utilize heated, portable ice-fishing shelters (huts) for our main fishing area. We also provide blankets and a hot drinks station (like hot chocolate and coffee) to ensure you stay comfortable throughout the day on the ice.

8. What should I pack for a winter weekend on the ice? We recommend packing warm layers, including a thermal base layer, a warm mid-layer (fleece or sweater), and a waterproof/windproof outer layer. Crucially, bring warm, waterproof winter boots, a hat, and thick gloves or mittens.

9. What if the weather is too cold or the ice is unsafe? Your safety is our top priority. We use local experts to monitor ice thickness daily. In the extremely rare event that the ice is deemed unsafe, we will offer alternative winter activities and local excursions (such as snowshoeing, visits to local museums, or town exploration) and may offer a credit for a future fishing trip.
